Everyone should share their most embarrassing WoW vanilla story. I'll go first:
When I first started playing, I didn't know the difference (or rules) of need vs. greed. In low level dungeons, I was needing on everything and thought "man, I must be really lucky!!" Surprisingly, no one in the group noticed.

When I first started playing, I thought you would do a quest, turn in, then do the next quest. I didn't realize until like level 15 that quests were designed to be completed together in the same area.

That's funny.
I used to think level 60 took an ungodly amount of hours/play time to obtain. The average player will reach it within a few months, and we even had a few 60s within days of WoW: Classic launching lol.

I bought a lot of things on the AH that I really shouldn't have, so I really delayed getting skills and a mount back in the day.
But CMON,
was so cool I wanted to dual wield them.
