Welcome everyone to Warglaive! Warglaive started as a fansite way back in the days of Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, using the old Paybas skins made for PhPBB 3.0. Since then, WoW: Classic was announced, and even though Paybas stopped supporting and updating the skin, I decided to pick up the slack and edit the skin to mimic old school World of Warcraft Community Site. Just like how WoW: Classic is a faithful recreation of the game as it existed in 2004, Warglaive is an attempt to recapture the look and feel of the original World of Warcraft forums and the old Community Site as it existed at the time: from the backgrounds, to the header, to the original character portraits (yeah those were hard to get lol).

Before we just willy nilly let you run around our site, we must cover some basic ground rules and codes of conduct for you all to follow as you browse about the forum. If you've been on the internet and awake anytime within the last 20 years, you will likely be familiar with such ground rules. It's cumbersome, I know, but these rules will really help keep Warglaive a great and fun place for everyone. Also, keep in mind the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy as you proceed.

Couple of quick things before we get to the guidelines...

Registration Information

Warglaive is a private, small community. Therefore, on occasion, new registrations will be closed to the general public. When that happens, you will need the current active invitation key from a registered user to be able register on our site. A current user can find the registration key on their profile page (they simply need to copy, paste, and send the key to you).

Current registration status: Open
Next registration open date(s): September 8, 2019 - TBD

When registrations open, you will not need a registration key to make a new account.

About Tooltips

Our site is equipped with the ability to insert WoWhead tooltips from their site at classic.wowhead.com. To do so, you can use the "[item]" or "[spell]" BBCode tag, inserted around the URL of the item or spell you wish to link. An example is as follows:

Code: Select all

[spell]10[/spell]

General Forum Guidelines

• Don't post in all capital letters, use a misleading title, excessive punctuation, and/or non-standard symbols, etc.

While everyone wants their post read, you should let your post stand on its own merit. If you use excessive punctuation or bait and switch tactics, you risk your post being moderated or even account action if the behavior continues.

• Posting "First" or IBTL ("in before lock") constitutes as spamming.

Please don't post just for the sake of posting. Instead, always try to contribute to the conversation or do not post at all. If you feel a post is about to be moderated, use the report function instead of posting about it.

• Do not threaten yourself or others, post about illegal activities, or post pornography on our site.

Anything related to porn is better kept on other sites on the net (if needed, PM me and I'll even recommend some). Threats and posts about illegal activities may warrant action by the authorities, and if they do I will be forced to comply. Simply don't do it on our site.

• Do not post spam.

Spam is rampant on the internet and I will be ruling against it with an iron fist. If you post spam on our website, you risk serious action being taken against your account (even for a first offense). Keep this in mind when posting on Warglaive.

That said, also keep in mind that there is a clear difference between posting a link that is legitimately related to the discussion, and spam. As long as you're not posting about a new miracle drug or male enhancement, I think you'll be okay.

• Do not post about locked or deleted threads.

If a post was moderated, it was likely moderated for a reason. I advise that you leave it alone. If you have a question about why your post was moderated, you should contact an administrator or moderator directly.

• Profanity is not against the forum rules, but please use it in moderation.

I do want to keep this site friendly to all, including your uncle Jim that goes to church 5 days a week. So while I don't mind a little French here and there, please try not to overdo the profanity. Keep it sensible (for da keedz).

That should cover all the necessary forum rules for now. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
